Is India Facing an LPG Shortage? What Are You Experiencing in Your Area?

#1

Post by myindia »

There have been growing discussions in recent days about a possible LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas) shortage in parts of India. Some people claim that gas cylinder deliveries are getting delayed, while others say they have not faced any issues.

For millions of households, LPG is the primary cooking fuel, especially after the expansion of the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana. Because of this, even small disruptions in supply can affect daily life for families across the country.

India also imports a large share of its LPG requirements, which means international energy prices, shipping delays, or geopolitical tensions can sometimes impact availability. At the same time, demand has been steadily rising as more households shift from traditional fuels to LPG.

Oil marketing companies like Indian Oil Corporation, Bharat Petroleum, and Hindustan Petroleum manage LPG supply and distribution across India, but local shortages or delivery delays can still occur in some areas.

We want to hear from you:

* Are you experiencing LPG cylinder shortages in your area?
* Are delivery times longer than usual?
* Have prices or availability changed recently?
* Do you think India should invest more in alternative cooking energy sources?

Share your experience and opinion. Your responses can help others understand whether this is a local issue or a wider national concern.
