In a decisive counterterror operation on Sunday, security agencies uncovered a massive cache of arms and explosives from a rented house in the Dhauj area of Faridabad, Haryana. The recovery included around 350 kilograms of explosive material, an AK47 rifle, and a large quantity of ammunition.

The operation was launched based on intelligence received during the interrogation of a doctor who had earlier been arrested in Jammu & Kashmir for suspected terror links. Acting on this information, a joint team of Jammu & Kashmir Police, the Intelligence Bureau, and the Faridabad Police carried out a raid at the identified location.

During the search, investigators found multiple bags of explosive material, electronic detonators, remote controls, and components believed to be used for assembling improvised explosive devices (IEDs). The team also recovered an AK47 assault rifle along with magazines and live rounds.

Officials stated that while the seized substance is initially being described as RDX, forensic experts are conducting further tests to determine its exact composition. Authorities have indicated that such a large stockpile suggests plans for a potential largescale terror attack that has now been successfully foiled.

The police have intensified their investigation to trace the origins of the explosives, the supply chain, and possible connections to terrorist networks. More arrests are likely as the probe continues.

Following the seizure, security has been tightened across Delhi NCR, and intelligence agencies remain on high alert. Officials said the operation highlights the importance of coordinated intelligence efforts in preventing major security threats in the region.
