Hyderabad : Auto-Rickshaw Driver Mukarram Beaten and Stabbed to Death

A 42-year-old auto-rickshaw driver, Mukarram, was allegedly beaten and stabbed to deat*h in Vattepally, Hyderabad, under the limits of Falaknuma Police Station on September 20, 2026.

According to preliminary reports, an argument reportedly linked to change over a ₹10 auto fare escalated into a violent confrontation. Mukarram was allegedly attacked and sustained serious injuries before succumbing to them.

Mukarram’s brother has also alleged that the attackers posed as media personnel to approach him before launching the attack, and claimed that some of those involved were allegedly connected to other unlawful activities in the area. These allegations are yet to be independently established.

Falaknuma police have launched an investigation to determine the exact circumstances, motive and identities of those involved. Further official details are awaited.
